Default Anybody making the step up to a C7?

Was at my local dealership today getting an alignment and they have a C7 on the floor... They received two on Wednesday, the other one left a couple hours ago.

I dont like the interior...

It does sound sick though...

Consensus here is it would be stepping down. Good thing they don't implement drug testing here on the forum. That's a bad *** looking Camaro

Those who follow Corvettes won't be making that mistake, however to the regular Joe's and Shelia's it's going to be a constant comment "That's a great looking Camaro, it's the new one right?" which is gonna drive all the new owners MAD!

Isn't that a 1994 Interior?

I guess the chrome strip in the grill isn't optional. It would have to go.

Interested, but will wait for the Z06/07 or whatever they will call the hypo version. Don't want to take a big step backwards in HP, and am hoping they change the back end by 2015 or 2016 model year.

It's just a little overdone for me. I hate the tail lights but I think I hate the "wing" windows more

Beautiful car !
I'm sure it will be a great performer and an improvement over last year's base model.

I'm very happy still with my C5Z and all the modification's I have done to it over the last 9.5 yrs.
Its still a very fun car for me and I have no plans to sell anytime soon.

I wish I was STEPPING UP to a C7. Seeing a bunch of them in Bowling Green made me love them even more. But I still am very happy with my FRC.

I have decided to make the switch to a C7. I'll be advertising my C5 starting this weekend.

Sh*t...every review by every automotive mag and blog out there has been that the C7 changed the benchmark...changed the game. The C7 is slated to go C6Z or better times at the Nurburgring, not to mention it has record setting brakes and stock handling.

Anyone that says going from a C5 to a C7 is stepping down, is very misinformed. I will tell you, as someone who was at the reveal in Detroit, as well as Bowling Green around several C7's in April...pics don't do the car justice. In person...it's a sick car...period. The taillights are badass at night...and in person, they look awesome. The C7 dates anything it sits next to shy of an Aventador.

The Z06 (though everyone insists on calling it a Z07 with no indication that's what it'll be) has already been spotted in camo. The CAD exists and was leaked showing it is widebody and by all indications, supercharged.

The 7th gen is the Corvette to own...end of story.

If I could afford one right now, I'd have my order in for a C7. Perhaps in a couple of year when I can find a low mileage used one I will make the jump. Love everything about the car.

I agree, I saw TONS of C7's at Bowling Green last month, even Johnny O'Connel's with some "extras" thrown on it. They are AWESOME cars (even the tail lights!). But everyone will come around eventually. Remember the reaction when the C6 came out? Everyone and their dog whined and cried about exposed headlights, now it's C6Z everything out there lol. Everyone is obviously entitled to their opinion, and some people really do not care for the C7, BUT I think a lot of opinions come off of bandwagoning and not actually giving the car a chance and REALLY looking at all of the attention to detail (like all of the idiot kids that rant on Facebook and YouTube about the tail lights that can't even afford one NOR own a Corvette; makes me ashamed to be the same age as some of them (20).) I love my C5 FRC (my favorite bodied Corvette, slowly getting dated yes, but still a GREAT body) and I have plans on holding on to it forever, but going C5 to C7, or even C5 to C6 is not "down-stepping". They all have up's and down's, everyone has preferences, and you buy whatever Corvette your finances allow, and take pride in it (the reason we have the C5vsC6vsC7 brawls all of the time lol). I'm stoked to drive a C7, going into a 7th gear on the interstate is going to be

94mph at 2000rpm in 7th...lol...

They actually lugged the car down to 1000rpm in 7th and it still pulled on flat ground. How can't you like a car that potent that cranks off Civic mpg on the highway...bad ***.

I haven't quite come around on the looks just yet. It's only a matter of time though, I haven't seen one in person.

I love the new car! I have one order. Put my deposit down in May and the order went into queue for production in late June.

I'm keeping my C5, though. Sold my C6 convertible to make room.

I think you'll change your mind a lot about them when you see it in person IF you go in with an open mind. They're really cool.
