Default Koni Shocks on ZO6, what a difference...

I just installed some new Koni shocks on the new ZO6--and it was like night and day...
One of the things I did not like about the ZO6 was the "skiddishness" of the car in bumps, especially in turns...
Having gone to the Koni's it made the ride completely different. Simply put, it made the car much more secure..not a harsher ride, but simply more secure. The skiddishness, has gone, I can now turn in and accellerate quicker out of turns, the car stays planted and generally is much more secure on the road. If it hits a bump, it takes one bump and plants and sits firmly on the ground...giving the rear end a firm seat.
I recognize that not too many people have had experience w. the Koni's on the ZO6....but I have had them on numerous other vehicles, for street and track use and loved them.
Koni's for the Vette, definitely make a difference...and in my opinion are worthy of consideration, if you'd like to enhance the driveability and handling of your car.
If you want additional input just email me directly.... ANYONE else out there w. Koni's on the ZO6??
Our LZ wheels, in 19" will be here in app. 2 weeks, and you can see them now on my car at this link

I too noticed a very good improvement with the Edelbrock shocks. My 2001 rear axle was over damped from the factory to the point that quick transitions such as slaloms were down right nasty. The Edelbrock shocks are magnificent on the street and very quick on an autocross course. A great bang for the buck.

I am interested in Guy's Penske valving for autocrossing. What is it abou the Penske shock that makes it so much better on the track? Do you make adjustments between runs?

When one spends $5K for a set of remote reservoir triple adjustable shocks, one does tend to make subtle adjustments from time to time.

Of course, what would I know. I'm still running lowly Koni DAs. ;);)

Triples are not legal in SS so I am not too interested in them. Do you set the rebound lower and the compression higher?

What is so good about them? What do they do differently? do you adjust them after every run and dial in to the track?

The Penske's I have are the one that Mallett sells ... the canisters are in the engine compartment and you can adjust them to the track ...
