C5R Head light install?
Those of you that have installed the C5R style no flip head lights, what am I in store for installing them myself. I do have the tools and the skill (former line mechanic for Chevrolet.) I'm trying to visualize how you would aim them once installed. I love the looks and hate the F-16 style air brake lights. Am I barking up the wrong tree with these lights? Are they well thought of or are they a head ache?
Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank God for Plastic cars!

Like the depot ones you find on ebay? I have a set , install wasnt horrible they dont fit perfect its as easy as removing the bumper which for me was needed because I had to re drill holes on the brackets. Also fyi do not use normal bulbs they will burn the inner plastic white after a few days youll need to use hids
I have depo lights and live them, took me about a hour to install and did not remove the bumper, mine didnt fit perfect but not bad, very pleased with them and really improves look off the c5. If u pm me ill tell u who I bought them from good deal.
I have been following this thread with great interest. I have a set of depo lights that I have not yet installed. I was surprised at the advice: "do not use normal bulbs they will burn the inner plastic white after a few days youll need to use hids"
Are hid's not hotter? Do all Hids fit the depot? I am not challenging the advice at all; rather as a newbie just trying to understand and have a great Vette!
yeah hids run alot cooler that normal bulbs. if i remember right the lights have an h7 bulb type so you just need h7 hids. the inside of my headlights litterally have scorch marks inside the clear (now semi white ) covers. i didnt remove my bumper to intall mine but mine are very evenly installed. i think to get them to fit perfectly removing the bumper is the best way to do it
