I have a t shirt with a car that doesn't really indicate what it is. It looks like a cross between the Camaro and a vette, with the Camaro tail lights.
I bought this shirt while on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2011. It's uncanny how much it looks like the C7.
Even before the C7 came out I had people asking me which vette it was, by vette owners.
Pretty neat to see that the 2014 Camaro has evolved. I wonder if that happened because the C7 rear looked just like the last gen Camaro.
I was on the interstate the other day and about half a mile in front of me was a current model black Camaro. After a while I got closer and passed only to chuckle to myself on approach as I realized it was an all black C7 True story. First one I have seen in person.

This stuff is great fun for me. I see one reality, and others state that what I see isn't there. Fine with me , but just for conversation, I guess you could stretch this into a matter of opinion.
It would seem that since both products came from the same design devision of the same company, there is a chance they might look alike, no matter my opinion about the thing.
Consider the cpmpanies' stated goals about branding. Than consider, if you will, one hit product tied to another more upscale poor seller, and it seems the design decision is valid as both car could gain sales.
I hope they sell a million. I am really glad no AZtec looking parts showed up , beyond the black poly body vents that is. (joke).
It's time to get over it guys, they aren't even close.
Two of the best looking cars on the road along with the C5 imo.
I agree with Toque that painting the lower part of the back of the C7 the same color as the body of the car would look great although black is not bad. GM should offer that as and option along with body colored grilles for the hood, side vents, rear qtr vents and taillight vents.
funny... both the Camaro and the C7 have the same bose radio i have in my C5... And a Tahoe, Grand Prix, Silverado.. GM likes to share parts between cars I guess (nothing new.... they have done it for years..).
In fact, I love it. GM/Chevrolet hears all of the griping about how the new C7 Corvette tail lights look like the Camaro tail lights. So what do they do? They change the Camaro tail lights!
I like them both. The new Camaro tail lights remind me of the late 60s era Camaros.

Maybe Camaros didn't wish to be confused with the Vette.
I'm guessing all those that are complaining would not buy one regardless. I know I wouldn't buy a new car ever, but down the road a few years is a different story. When the C-5 came out many hated the 'big butt, when the C-6 came out many hated on the headlights. When the 63 coupe was introduced many hated on the split window..
Love the looks of the C7 and hope to have one in my garage some day.
