Are these new? If not I would go with GM Parts house. They are not the best quality to start with.

The first one definitely is...that's the one I got. The second one doesn't say, but I was under the impression that on Amazon everything is new unless explicitly stated otherwise. (Unlike, say, Ebay.)

As far as quality goes, it's identical, down to the part number, to the factory one it replaced.

EDIT: I see you have '98, so you'd need a different one anyway.

I just got two. They are new. I ordered them Thursday and they were delivered today. Total cost was $27.50 for both ($13.75 ea) for the '01-'04 style. (I have a '99 but upgraded the receiver and TPMS to the new style.)

I got them from an ebay seller "yourkeylessremote" although I called their number so I could use a credit card. 1-815-675-0404

They look exactly like the originals (even have the "1" and "2" numbers on the back) and programmed normally and seem to work well.

For the price I had to try them and I'm glad I did.

Good luck.

Seems like you have a lot of choices for the fobs.

No I upgraded to the newer TPMS from GM Parts House so mine has the new ones. I bought 2 new ones for the 98 set up just before they stopped making them. I sold them on here nearly new.

As well as our 03 Malibu. The 03 truck ones would also work but not have a trunk button.
