There's white and then there's white - Lots of pics
Saw on the tube that we're in for about 4 straight days of rain starting this afternoon. Kinda bummed me out since I don't normally drive my car when it rains. So I decided to take a quick spin since I'd be homebound til it clears up. I grabbed the camera and headed 15 minutes north to Guthrie to take a few pics of my old gal. As I'm driving up I-35, I notice a white Vette coming up from behind. A good looking blond gal was driving a C6 vert and doing 80mph (I paced her for a little bit). She did NOT wave nor even look over when she went by. She had the top down but the windows up. As I was pacing her, I thought "Why not get a pic or two of that car?". I'm really proud of my Panasonic Lumix. Takes great pics. So while driving about 75mph, I take the camera out of the case and grab a couple of pics while driving. Never done that before. The pics turned out pretty decent for a one handed operation.
A very nice looking C6 with an even better looking driver (she needs to learn about the wave).
I made it to Guthrie (I like to go there, its Oklahoma's first state capital and lots of historic stuff there, makes for good pics) and proceeded to take several shots of my 98 Coupe. This is what REAL white looks like! The arctic white is the brightest, purest white I've seen and its very noticable in these pics.
This pic is beside the old jail house. Those small windows in the background all have bars in them.
Finally, here's a good shot of how the new 315/35/18 Toyo Proxes fit after installing on 18x10.5 rims. Those dudes hook up!

Some nice shots of your white coupe.
Funny thing, the same thing happened to me when I was returning from lunch today. A guy in a yellow C6 vert with the windows up pulls up along side me and doesn't even acknowledge my presence. Oh well, at least you had a prettier driver.

Great looking car you've got. Too bad you couldn't get some pics of the lady driving the C6 other than the back of her head.

Very nice ride and some great shots. Thanks for sharing.
That is pretty cool about the wave. I wondered that when I first got my Corvette if we had the "wave" like the Jeep and motorcycle people do. Then low and behold my first Vette that passes by gives me a big ole wave. I was like "ah yeah" we got it too!!
LOL!!

She was a cutie for sure. She was heading north, I'd guess back to OSU at Stillwater. She looked like an upper classman, maybe a junior or senior at Okie State. Really no idea but she was sharp and maybe around 20-22 yrs old.

Thanks Ed. Yeah, been having fun since I finally got it out of the shop. Car running great now but of course that's got me thinking about more mods. God, what a sickness this is....
