I have a silver 98 and I think I like the black letter inserts. Where is the best place to get them? Do they stay in place after repeated washings? Any opinions would be welcome.
I am on the hunt for new ones also. I bought my car and they have these raised gel type letters and are very nice. But I want to start highlighting my car with blue and these are red. I will be keeping an eye on this thread to see where people post up to go to for these!
I didn't like the way any of them fit, so I made my own... probably not an option for most, but I do signs and decals as my business. Too bad Chevy doesn't like me selling them.
I bought the ones for both the C5 and C6 from Josh at RPI Designs in Ohio.
The key to having them 'stick' is to clean the area well with alcohol (Isopropol . . .not Scotch) and follow the instructions . . .I've done the lightweight decalls, heavier vinyl and the stainless - -
I had the black vinyl ones on my car and they didn't stick worth a crap (yes, I did prep and clean the area before) but it seems everyone else on here has had awesome luck with them?? Guess I was unlucky lol. Anyways, I had Emblempro's Stainless inserts on my WS6 and now have Emblempro's Black Stainless on my FRC. They fit 100% flush with the bumper when installed and don't stick out whatsoever and they are NEVER coming out without brute force lol I bought both of mine off of Emblempro's eBay store. They were somewhat pricey at $75 but totally worth the extra money.
As if people don't know what it is already. I don't care for cheap sticky add ons especially when you look like a horses a$$ when one of the letters falls off or gets peeled off by the same twelve year old that was stealing valve stem caps. Just sayin...
I have the cheapo vinyl stick on ones. They're pretty poor quality, and I had one of the letter fall off. They also don't really fit that well. From 10+ feet away or in pictures they look fine, but up close, they don't really fit inside the recesses that well.
I would strongly recommend using the 3D inserts like people mentioned above.
I've also thought about spraying the letter with Plastidip. My idea would be to put some painters tape on the letters, rub them with a pencil to get the shape of the letters, and then cut them out with an exacto knife, put the tape back on, and spray the inside of the letters with plastidip.
After a long time looking for nice steering wheel, glovebox, front plate and rear CORVETTE inserts, I gave up and I am now one who prefers stock in all 4 of those areas.
I got them (black) from Corvette Central and I LOVE them. I was over the top careful on the clean prep before I put them on. Double wash to make sure no wax. Then a super clean with denatured alcohol. They stick like crazy.

I would recommend either Randy at HRW Motorsports (forum member blacksedan87) or just get them from Brian at Vette Works Intl. Both are good vendors and sell quality products.
Hey Corvette Ed, how long ago did you get your blue letters? I just called Corvette Central and they can't find any blue letters????
Just a few months. For some reason they've dropped the color from the rear letters, but not on the front. I think someone screwed up on the rear letters, either updating the site or the reorder list.

Yeah because that cheap indent that says Corvette is so pretty.
Got mine from Tony at EurosportDaytona. Love them and never had a problem with them sticking, just clean as stated above. Tony did tell me that if you would happen to lose one he would replace it. I've included the link.
