I love my C5!!!
This is my second one, its a 2004 Machine Silver Z06.
I just bought it in September this year, and already have tracked it at Summit Pt Main, Summit Pt Shenandoah, VIR, and did an autox.
Here's my favorite picture at VIR. Running 18x11f 18x12r CCW Classics.
add me to the list of those"keepers". i love my 04 commemorative edition 6 spd convertible and plan on hanging on to it even if i decide to buy another (i just sold my 78 pace car, so buying another after i finish my current project street rod isn't impossible. improbable certainly, but not impossible)
Love my C5.....friend upgraded to C6 and wife asked when I was...I will have just as much fun in the C5 and a car cant look any better than when I clean my torch red baby up. Just went on weekend trip to corvette expo about 750 miles and even I was surprised how comfortable I was on a long trip!!! AND...This is the best kind of car...a paid for one!!!!
I do love my C5Z, I think if I got another fun car one day it would be a newerish Viper, Gallardo, GT or a muscle car era Pro Touring setup. Keeping my C5 of course. Not into the C7.

My pop up headlights are killing me (SEVERELY OUTDATED)! If it were reasonably priced to convert to C6 headlights, I'd plan on keeping my C5 for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOG time.

I thought I told you that you can't post anymore pictures of your car.

I guess I'm old school, hell I'm not too old though. I'm into the pops, one reason I went for c5 over c6
My car's not going anywhere any time soon. I still like just looking at it. It never looks old or dated to me. It always gets compliments and it still looks great. People think it's brand new. I've got it the way I want it and yet I'm still thinking about more mods I can do to it. Plus, like others, it's paid for. I also drive it quite a bit and it gets double the mpg's of my truck. I like the C7, but at this time I don't need another car payment.
At this point in my life, I could own a new C7 or a new Porsche or just about any car that my heart might desire.
IMO the C5 Corvette is the most beautiful car in the world.
My car is going to be 15 years old tomorrow, built Oct 28, 1998.

This is what I drive...
Now thats what I'm talkin' about!! Love what you did with those wagon wheels! Are they actually cut out or is that simply some black paint? Either way, I love my 98 too!!

They are simply black vinyl decals. The decals have been on the wheels a long time and they still look great.
My 1999 FRC is the best running car I have ever owned. I have owned it for 10 years and I plan on keeping it. It is paid for and one hell of a lot of fun to drive.

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
