Well I didn't hear him say it, but its on VIR's website, and everytime GrandAM or ALMS is at VIR the TV announcers always mention it.
I'm not sure how fast I was going, I know I had to go into 5th on both straights. I've only done 1 dry session at VIR in the Z06, can't wait to try again and go faster. If you go with NASA I might see you there!
It's accurate, I checked a few sources.
I noticed you went into 5th, I tried a couple of times but it got me nowhere, I had too much left in 4th on those straights. I'm only a green grouper besides.
Keeping mine, already sold my 07'Z and kept my C5Z. It's my modern muscle car. It also holds a part of my heart it was the first real purchase from the success of my buisness.
C5vsC6
I now have a C6 with a A&A SC and before it I had a C5 with a A&A SC. Both were/are over 550RWHP.
I perfer the C5 over the C6.
It just handled better.
C5 is balance 50/50 the C6 is 49/51. this 1% difference made the C5 handle better off the line than my C6 does
I am keeping mine. Love the way it looks and drives...
lust also. Problem is I am getting old and pulled a back muscle, so getting in and out will be real painful for the near future. These are sweet machines. What is not to love?

Love your wheels....what type/brand are those? I like how deep the spokes are.
Wife gave me OK to get any vette under $35k. After looking at some C6s, I chose C5Z. Power in my C5Z is more then enough to get me in trouble and I like rough ride of C5, it feel like a sports car should, the car just feels right. After CAGS and LMC5 install and shifter **** replacement I really love that thing and looks of C5 are second to none. I'm keeping it for a long time and the only sad think is that snow and salt will be here soon and won't be able to drive it year round. Looking at my C5 and driving it always puts a smile on my face.
I like driving it. I hate the paint, the material quality of everything.
It's outdated and cheap. But it's fun. Likely still getting sold as I still can't get past the color.
I often wonder if an upscale interior would benefit the driving experience. It's a lot of fun in a straight line, but doesn't seem like the "all around car" that it could have been. I understand it was built as it was for budget reasons, but still leaves a little to be desired in some areas. My main criticisms are the interior quality and steering feel. Other than that, it's pretty solid.
