Dumb Dumb Question Z06
Hi Z06 forum members,
I presently a owener of a C4, and is planning to up-grade.
So here goes...What is a Z06?
Saw this in our local ad:
99' Vette Hardtop Z06 Conv., Red, 13K mi. 7 yr. warr., Excl.
How much would you pay for this car?
Is this a soft top or does z06 comes with T-tops called convertibles.

Number 1... there is no such thing as a 99 Z-06. What i think he means is that he/she took their 99 hard top and added mods to make it appear like a 01/02 Z-06, hence Z-06 conv. (as in conversion) What this likely includes are at least the following: Z-06 style wheels, Z-06 rear air ducts on the rocker panels, perhaps Z-06 screens in the front fascia. They may also have done engine and suspension work to make it more like a Z-06.

First year of the Z06 was 2001. The ad seems to be describing a 1999 FRC (fixed roof coupe) that has been "converted" to look like a Z06. Probably just has Z06 badges, wheels, scoops, and exhaust.

First of all...if it is a 99, then it is not a Z06. First year for Z06 was 2001.
No, the Z06 ONLY comes in the fixed roof coupe version. As a result, there is no removable or retractable roof.
