Well, its official. I will be in Bowling Green for a photographic conference between July 13th and July 18th. I will be going to the NCM and the Assembly Plant. Besides Design Specialties what else should I plan on doing and seeing in BG. I am also hoping to scoot up to Louisville to see the Ford Truck plant. All suggestions are appreciated in advance !
Holly also has a good sized factory in Bowliing Green and they also have an interestiing tour. While in Louisville, tour the Hillerich and Bradsby = Louisville Slugger, bat factory and museum. The Churchill Downs Museum is also a must see and all are very reasonably priced. Enjoy and have a good time .
Zapper, if you have time check out Mammoth Cave National Park, or even some of the cool caves right in Bowling Green. We went on a boat tour through Lost River Cave, it was cool!
While your there, go back in the lot behind the factory and wipe off the dust on the black 2003 ZO6!! I read that some others have a pick-up date at the Museum on the 18th. I am still trying to get mine earliear than the pick-up date that they gave me wich is in the first week of August. Judy Yanko is off on sick leave and they have some body in her place with only three houres trainging. Just-my-luck!
Bowling Green is pretty dull other than the Vette museum and the plant. Like the others said, Holley Performance Parts is located there also. Stay at the Holiday Inn if you can (formerly the University Plaza), nicest restaraunt is probably 440 Main, or Mariahs. Rafferty's is good too. Hope that helps!
