Default 3XL or bust

I'm a newbie and hit the search engine for this topic and couldn't find it, but I'm sure it's buried in the bowels of this forum somewhere so my bad if it's already been a topic. Everyone that buys or rides in a Vette surely can't be a Medium or size 6 or smaller. I just bought a C5 and between my butt and my gut, fastening the seat belt turned into a two person job. Once I got my new ride home I noticed that my electron blue car and I were a perfect match. After exhaling and getting extricated by the local fire department I immediately started looking for a seat belt extender... I wasn't going to let such an obvious factory engineering defect slow me down from enjoying a few ponies. To no avail I went to all the local gearhead shops. I decided to call the local Chevy dealer and ask if such an animal existed. They not only had them in either 9" or 15" extension, they are free!! Being a safety device there was no cost. A 9" worked perfectly so I still have room for a few more hamburgers, plus, they look really nice. Also, they come in any color as long as it's black.

Anyway, thot I would share.

I used to work at a dealership in the service dept and we had to order seat belt extenders a few times each year... I ordered one to make it easier for my son to buckle into his booster seat when he was younger....

Good to know that they are free. My regular seatbelt works just fine, but I may see if I can pick one up in case I need it at some time.

I'm sorry I don't remember where I got mine but don't give up. They are out there. I'm 6' 350lbs and I use a seat belt extender. Works perfectly.
