Seems as though it is "under construction". He is probably to impatient to wait to have the parts painted before installing. I think that maybe he started off with an idea of where he wanted the project to go and then somehow either got lost along the way or ran out of money.
alright were having a lot of fun at someones expense, lets just assume its a 19 yr old kids car thats trying to figure it out (on a low budget).
I always try to consider this. When I was a teenager, operating with a $50 a week budget, that i had to buy everything i needed except a place to stay and supper every night out of. I had a car with **** carpet, tires that I painted the white letters on, thrush mufflers with no tailpipes and a homemade bowtie made with pin striping tape on the back glass. I thought I was doing well til this older guy (SOB) laughed at my car at a gas station one night. Really hurt my feelings. I knew the guy from when i worked at the Honda Shop. He had a good job and money to spend. I was going to Tech school and driving a damn school bus to get the $50 a week. I never make fun of a kid working on his own car, I don't care how much of a disaster I think it is.
Oh...I almost forgot those blocks you twist into the coil springs to jack the back end up. I had some of those too!

I started this post to gauge people's reaction to a slightly disheveled C5 with a few questionable mods. While I really do not care for the look he is going for, it is clearly his car and his choice. I did not see who was driving this car, but I would bet it was a young guy who was finding his way into an older "premium" sports car that he likely acquired for a good price and was going about personalizing it to his tastes. We have all been there before when we started out.
The car was actually not that bad -- the Z06 rear brake ducts were done well (they looked functional), the Z06 wheels were OK, there were no dents or dings in the body that I saw -- but the car was certainly in need of some TLC. That being said, I really did not care for the rear wing (I don't even know what kind of car that wing is supposed to fit -- it looked like a rice Civic wing) or the hood, although if the hood was painted it would be alright I suppose. But I have certainly seen much worse done to Corvettes in the past.
Here's hoping this guy finds his way to some better mods in the future and maybe he can really turn this tired C5 vert around .
