Dumb questions, I need to get some info straight.
My '01 has no spare, no jack, no lug wrench, no info.
Has the polished optional wheels. Now the lug nuts are plastic caps over the real lug nuts, right? The plastic caps are available in silver, grey, and black. The plastic caps screw on and off the real lug nuts as they have external threads, right? What size sockets are needed?
Thanks.

As noted, 19mm is the correct size socket...come to think of it, that's true for every car I've had since about 1980.
I have the same wheels: the lugnuts on mine are one-piece stainless closed-end nuts. It may be that one or both of us has aftermarket lugnuts, but if mine had plastic covers, they'd get replaced faster than you can read this post.
and by the way . . no C5 or newer Corvettes have jacks or spares . . .no place to put them, and you're running two tire sizes (1" larger on the rear) . . .cars are equipped with run flats from the factory.
Thanks, I'm not totally clueless, of course know of no spare etc, have run flat tires, wheel sizes etc. Just was not familiar with the stock plastic caps, few are missing, plan to get replacements. Also plan to remove wheels, clean the inside barrel sections of the wheels and likely paint them to clean them up and improve appearance.
Instead of replacing the caps I'd ditch them and get new lug nuts. A new set is about a buck per nut.
Yup...ordered mine Friday as my plastics were flying off! Cheap originals.
New chrome acorn nuts for the C5....about a buck per nut. Plus shipping.
Can't wait to get them and take off all these plastic fake nuts!

Stock was the plastic caps. They're found on a lot of GM cars for that matter. They look like crap after a couple years, tend to fall off, and are easily stripped.
I replaced mine with a set of Gorilla chrome acorns.
