Need some technical help

I'm kinda new here. Can somebody tell me how I post a picture of my Vette that shows up each time next to my postings. Just a brief step-by-step would be helpful. Sorry, but I'm technically challenged.

I tried this and it didn't work. Got an invalid file message. The file I tried to up load is PDF.

PDF's won't work at read the very bottom, the pic has to be 24K or less in file size ad 150 x 150 pixels or less. I just loaded one to test it, the one you should see on the left.

Use a .jpg file to display your pic. Size as stated above is: The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 24.4 KB (whichever is smaller).

You can use a free program such as Irfanview to see and edit your pics.
Google Irfanview to download the program.

Good. Now I know what size picture to use, but how do I get the thing in the box to the left of here. Can anyone help me out?

In the red banner at the top of the page is a choice called User CP. Click on that, then on the left side of the page will be a choice called Edit Avatar. Choose that, then click on Use Custom Avatar. Near the bottom of the page will be a choice of how to upload the pic you want to use for your avatar - I chose Option 2 and then just browsed my computer until I found the pic I wanted and uploaded it to the forum. After that, click save and it should show up as your avatar.

Thanks "Vetteman Jack", seems easy enough, but I couldn't have figured it out without your help. I appreciate the assist. Now I have to go and pick a good shot of my Vette to put in there. Thanks again buddy.
