Actually I am probably going to paint them, but right now Im directing funds towards other goodies. I figured its not something I need to do right away.
It seems like everyone on this board hates the DEPOs, but I just am not seeing it. I enjoy them tremendously. I assume the venom either is coming from (a) vette purists who wouldnt put fixed headlights on, or (b) radioflyer peeps who are justifying their 1500 dollar purchase. Either way, some of it was pretty funny.

Also, (c) those who honestly don't care for that particular execution. Personally, I'm not against the exposed headlight look on the C5 -- I just have yet to see a rendition that doesn't look "after-market-ish".

But I am glad that you're enjoying them.
i had about 20 diff issues with my stock lights which brought me to the depos. wanted them painted to match as there not my favorite either. But they grow on you after a while when done right. I have no issues with my lights now whice is nice!!
I also have enough power that no one really ever gets that view.

Holy cow, I don't blame you for switching to exposed lights. Luckily, I've never had a single problem with my stock lights, and I have over 50K miles on my '04.

I really doubt those are the reasons most of us are voicing very similar opinions.. the lights look like *** is the reason I'm more than sure everyone has said what they did. Some people have the touch when it comes to modifying cars and some dont.

had the headlight motor go out right away. Had the winking eye, They got stuck up. They got stuck halfway. They would come loose and jiggle about every three weeks just constant issues. Then my switch in the column went i think cause they just stopped moving had to put them up and down manually. Was last draw on that one.

Haha. I have a pair on their way to me to replace a motor issue I didn't feel like messing with; and I got a good deal. So, people can add me to to list of guys to make fun of. You could always paint up the outside yourself black and let a pro paint match it silver down the road; a little tape and a rattlecan shouldn't kill your budget for other things.

Most of the people who buy the Radioflyer lights do so because they hate the way Depos look

Exactly
The Radioflyers I just installed in my car do it best for me:

Funny, you do realize you were justifying your 1500 dollar radio flyer purchase dont you? Saying you think DEPOs are ugly was the justification for buying the RFs. You therefore fall into category B.

Justification is done after the fact; reasoning is the logic behind the decision. I do not have to justify my purchase, since I was well aware of my options when I paid for these lights. I simply decided that these were the most aesthetically pleasing option currently available that also provided a marked improvement in lighting (I've carved canyon roads with this car at night with the stock lights and it was VERY scary) without compromising the safety of oncoming traffic as HID kits in halogen reflectors do. I research before I buy so I don't have to justify my decisions.
Also, I don't have $1500 dollars into these headlights. $1.2 or $1.3k would be much more accurate. Everybody has their limits on what they're willing to spend on a particular mod.
They look good bro. I wish I had a G plus to get the radioflyers and certainly prefer yours to the DEPOs. That being said, I do like the way my lights look, and they take care of what was important to me most when it came to the vette headlights. They light up the road very well and are much lighter than the stockers.
I installed the DEPOs on my C5Z about 6 months ago. I went with the black inside, as i dont like anything chrome(just a preference). But, once you install the HID kit, the lights are 100x better than factory. Whatever lights you go with, an HID upgrade is a must. I went with DDM tuning 55W and have had zero issues.
