here is something you all can try. uncoated leather ( real leather ) will absorb a drop of water. if the leather is coated or is a plastic. the drop will bead up. if it does not absorb immediately you are wasting your time with any real leather conditioners, prior to 2000 many car had untreated leather which over time grew character ( cracks ). after 2000 98 % of all cars made today have treated leather interiors. This was done for longevity. Today all you want to do is protect and clean that surface with an appropriate product for modern automotive interiors. Something like Aero 303 protectant, or Zaino's leather in a bottle. these products have cleaners for protected ( coated )leather and vinyl, a UV protectant, a gloss enhancer and a fragrance. These products are topical and never designed be absorbed. Zaino wins hands down in the fragrance department. I use Zaino for all that it is. My seat look amazing as does my dash and console area. AS far as smell. Its very very nice.

PS you can forget all those real leather conditioner products, because they are a waste of money.
Used to use Lexol, but is does nothing compared to this stuff.
If you are using this on a C5, your wasting your money just like using Lexol.. these products never get past the surface. Even very expensive upolsterers use treated leather. If You want to restore the leather in your 1955 Austin Healy, this is the right product.

I also use zanio, but almost every time I do my cars I clean the leather with water. Spray it on let it sit wipe with clean towel. You will see the dirt on the towel that you have removed. I use micro-fiber towels. The leather likes the moisture. The seats in the corvette are the oldest and have no cracks. this works for me. the zaino enhances it with smell and conditioning.
You will not be disappointed, I promise you. Just make sure you give it time to completely soak in and dry. Or you can use a towel and rub it in.
IT DOESNT SOAK IN !
All these seats are COATED..... I've said several times. Automotive seat cover material that appears to be leather like is coated to make sure things do Not Soak in.. 99 % of all high production vehicles built on the planet, be it Europe, Asia And Both North and South America use a coated material. even the cloth used in automotive applications is coated. So there is not soaking in of anything.

So you're saying this coating never wears off? Doubtful but I'm sure you know more than me. I use meguiars on all my vehicles and it noticeably makes a difference on how soft the leather is and none of my seats have cracked yet. I see plenty of seats with cracks in them... If conditioning your leather doesn't work then why do those seats crack from the same use as mine?"
Its always good for the economy to spend lots of money on things to help make our economy grow, no matter how irrelevant the purchase is. some one appreciates your purchase.
