I respect them fine on the coupe body styles.

But as someone set on joining the C5 club with a convertible, they gots to go.

It has to be the lines that you have from the roof pillar, targa top and hatch glass that lets it work.

Not having those pieces on the convertible I find them off-putting on it.

I liked the wagons when I got the car and all my friends made fun of me. I didn't care mainly because it's my car and it's what I liked. However, since changing the wheels, I like the car that much more. Get a ton of compliments and makes the car look a ton more modern.

The wagon wheels aren't anything special, but they aren't as hideous as people make them out to be

I think once again the "sheep mentality" has made them into something they are not

They are just a fairly clean, boring set of stock wheels, nothing more nothing less, they will look as good as the car they are attached too.

To me the speedlines and the Grand sport wheels are the top OEM options for any corvette.

But heres a few wheels that are much WORSE then the wagon wheels.....

The last shot is a set of super cheap wagon wheels I picked up for $100, I didn't mind them one bit as a temporary set.

I normally don't care for green, but man on your car I love it! I guess it just has to be the right green and yours is right!

I planned to change the wheels after buying the car two years ago. But now they have grown on me. Decided to install new tires and keep them.

It was fun to revisit this three year old thread... see the comments, and remember those who have left this forum.

IMO, ALL those wheels look much better than wagon wheels - which look like they were styled for a truck.

I think a lot of people would agree with you, that's why they continue to buy them

I don't like them at all though

When the C5 came out I never said I don't like those wheels. All I remember thanking was I would love to have one of those cars. I could not afford one at that time. Now many years later I have had a 2002 vert for 51/2 years and now there is so many choices in wheels for our cars. That if my car came out with them I would have to choose something else.

My 98 still had the wagon wheels when I bought the car. Kept them for 6 months until I changed wheels. I thought they looked alright. I just recently sold them to a guy that out them on his C4.

I never hated the WW's, but they certainly don't compliment the car like some wheels can. Changed to Speedline Z06 wheels when I did my Grand Sport project.

I saved mine for track day use - they are lighter than the black chrome 2010 ZR1 knockoff's I got at Carlisle...

Thanks Mike, Not sure I will see the 20 year marker, but I thank you for the kind words and your thoughtful intent. IM already one year past my expiration date. IM not sure if my mellow nature in recent times has made this forum a more tolerable experience for me, or the fact that people are not so quick to poke their finger in my eye.
