The Targa Top makes the car so much more appealing as a touring car vs the FRC which is handsome but very one dimensional.
The open air nature of the vehicle with the top out is a close as you can get to a convertible without all the drawbacks (security (break ins) and safety (rollover protection). The driving experience is fantastic.
If you plan to modify the drivetrain for big horsepower the FRC wins hands down. It is just stiffer and can handle the twist forces produced by a high torque motor.

If the FRC had been the only choice, I would have never purchased a C5.
