C5 Headlight Upgrade - Issue noticed during install
Frank (forum member gnfan) is upgrading his pop up headlight gear on his C5. The original plastic gear is being upgraded to a brass gear.
Gear/shaft play was noticed when re-installing the new gear into
the housing. We are wondering if anyone had this problem,
and what have you done if anything, differing from the instructions. Did you just add washers to take up the play? Comments welcome on the Forum. Check out the video that shows how much play was present.

It seems to me that I used just 1 washer and put it all back together and have not had any issues at all for over 4 years now, I do believe that the arms will help keep everything lined up.
