Ahhhhhhhhh, purple. My very most favorite color!! Always love seeing your car in your posts!! Would love it if mine had been one of the purple ones when I ran across it. (Although I would probably have been a sucker and paid a whole lot more for it!!)

If I ever decide to drive back to Nebraska again for the car show I like to sometimes, I will see if you are still in Colorado and see if we can meet up some place. I love the drive thru the mountains in Colorado.
Thanks for the compliments guys. Can't think of anything I would like to add at the moment so it might be a while before I post another update.
Bought, had painted and installed a used carbon fiber Halltech front intake screen a couple weeks ago. Haven't cut any holes yet as I'm still getting used to the new look. It's starting to grow on me so I may just do the cutting. I'm going to take a couple more weeks or so to make sure this is the look I really want before adding any air holes.

Where did you acquire the billet grills for the vent openings on the front nose? Yours is only the second car I've seen with them on here, and the first owner I questioned about them said they were on his car when he bought it. Have searched high & low with all the well-known after-market suppliers & can't find them. Mind sharing your source? Thanks!

Looks great! Grape ape.I tell you yours is the only "grape" one Iv'e personally seen, and thats only from your site.Would love to see one in person some time. Perhaps at a car show one day I'll get lucky !
Whats interesting is with all your mods, nobodys having any trouble with matching the color.

I would love to share the source but I have tried over the years to get these for other people and have had zero luck. I have had them for about 6 years or so and have found out that the guy that use to make them doesn't anymore. So I think we are all out of luck on getting these unless someone is willing to try and reproduce them.

I actually lucked out on the painter I have. When I got the car back in '07 someone had backed into the rear bumper cover. Caved in the left side edge but it popped back out. When I saw it, it looked like a bunch of dust on the car but when I got closer I could tell that it was actually the paint that had cracked. So some local Vette people told me about the painter I have and he matched it very well and did it the right way with removing the cover. So I have been with him ever since and he has it down pretty good.

If you find something that works ya stick to it I was one of the guys that inquired about those grills too gave up and bought a c6 G.S,still love the c5s though!
Been a while since I've posted here. Just got in a center console cover that I ordered from RedLine Goods to go along with my shifter & e-brake boots I've had of theirs for a while now and my new seat skins. Very well made. It had an elastic band on the edge of it but didn't really care for how it fit so I took the elastic off and had an upholstery shop install if over the original cover and it only cost me $25 for them to do it. I think it turned out great and love the purple.
Old cover I had on it until today.
New cover I installed today.
Also added a chrome Jake to my exhaust plate. Left the old purple one on so it would have like a boarder around it so it wouldn't blend in to much.
That is all for now. Not sure what else I will do anytime soon. Might have to get the garage floor done so it looks good sitting there too. Thanks for lookin....

Reason: Posted pics of seats a while ago. Sorry for the dup..
Love the car, man! I met you once - I think it was at the Casa Grande BBQ hosted by ACE a few years ago. The color of your car just KNOCKED ME OUT! And then when I learned it was a rare FACTORY color, I was even more amazed and intrigued.
Now that I acquired my second C5 (my first was a Pewter '99 convertible), perhaps I'll see you and your awesome ride at some shows in the future - like Prescott!
Oh, and that purple stitching is just SICK!! LOVE IT!!
I think all your personal touches are tastefully done and really add to the overall appeal of your car.
Regarding the side skirts. Go to Caravaggio's website. You will find the skirts done without a lot of other ground effect parts. They were originally designed without all the other trim parts associated with them, just the Caravaggio rear spoiler and their front canards, all designed by John Cafaro of GM, who designed the C5. On my own car I already have the canards and spoiler. I will be adding the side skirts soon to complete the original look. With plain style skirts you shouldn't lose much ground clearance at all, they should be about at the bottom of the rockers. I like the ACI skirts too, but I think they are a little pricey. I found a set on e-bay for about half the price in fiberglass. If it's okay to mention, it was C5West. quality is decent for the price. Won't require much finishing work to install. I also prefer the original simpler style. BTW, I like the color of your car. I almost bought that color in '98 when I bought my first C5, except the car was a stripper. Had none of the options I wanted.

Thanks and ya I remember the BBQ's. They haven't had it for a few years but it was fun. I'm going to be at the Corvettes In The Park in Chandler tomorrow morning if you're in the area and have nothing to do. Hope they have Prescott this year. The guy that put it on has passed the reins to someone else and I hope they don't decide not to do it.

Thanks for the info. I will have to look into it. Debating on them still as I don't need it any lower then it already is so if they make some that will not loose any ground clearance then that might be the ticket.

Absolutely stunning!! This has got to be one of the most beautiful C5s I have seen. The color is just amazing and all the mods are extremely tasteful. Great job. Very Classy.
