Good luck with the procedure, it doesn't have to be that bad! My father was walking the same day of the procedure on his second knee replacement, playing racketball a couple weeks later.

Thanks guys for that information. I'll let her know and it gives me something to gauge by. Best of luck to you all that are dealing with it too. Pray for full recovery and use. Take care.

Best wishes and prayers for Darci, waiting is one of the worst parts.

As for the deck - welcome back to the land of mold and mildew. They were not a concern in Arizona.

Thanks for the prayers. The waiting is never easy either. Boy you're right about the moisture too. I had forgotten what all happens around here after being gone for all those years. Arizona sure doesn't have these issues. Does keep me busy, even though I'm sure I could find better things to do.

Hauled the wheels into Omaha this morning to be unchromed. Said it would be 3-4 weeks. That's fine with me as I'm not planning on going anywhere with it anytime soon.

Haven't really taken the time to sit down and look seriously. This is happening faster then I planned on it being. But the powder coating colors I like so far are the brushed aluminum and the chrome look, but leaning to the brushed look. I'm thinking I may want to go a slightly different shade then chrome so it looks like I changed something and it won't look the exact same as before. A darker shade of brushed aluminum isn't out of the question either. I have a few weeks to think about it. If anyone has any reasonable ideas, I'm game for listening and seeing what you all think.

Gun metal? Anthracite?

Grape is definitely a tough color to contrast to lol.

Here's just a few ideas.
Brushed Light Tint would contrast well with Purple.

Brushed Satin lips w/Titanium centers

Brushed Satin lips/ Brushed Gray centers

I agree that this color I have will be tough to make look good. Thanks for all the ideas. I like that satin brushed look. 😎

I like the Brushed Satin lips w/Titanium centers or a polished chrome like finish.

Got the car cleaned up and the cover back on for the winter. Still debating on the color for the wheels. I'm pretty sure I'll only do 1 color. Heard about the PVD process and am looking into that also. That looks like a great chrome process.

Got a quote for the PVD process a couple days ago. All in and done with the stripping and recoating of the wheels, I'll be in it for about half or less of a new set of wheels will cost. Is it worth it? I think so and they'll look chrome again with a 5 year warranty. Was maybe wanting a different look for the car, but I'm honestly not sure I'd be happy with any other look. So I'm leaning pretty heavily towards the PVD process. I told them I'd give it until Monday and decide.

Your car looks good with the chrome wheels. A 5 year warranty? Even better. Remember if you roll the dice on a new look you might not like it and you could end up with the "shoulda left well enough alone" regrets.

i really like the look of your current wheels in chrome and the 5-year warranty is a big plus as is half the cost of new.
