Default How do you do it!?

Got our first Vette in November, after an excruciating wait while the bank played their games. Now it sits in the garage and I'm the saddest little elf in all the North Pole. Hey you folks in winter states! HOW DO YOU MAKE IT THROUGH THE WINTER!!!! I'm jonesin' SOOOOOOO bad!!!!

Almost 8 years ago I took delivery of my 04 Z on New Years Eve. That January was mild and I was able to get out with the car before a serious version of winter settled in. The novelty of a new toy wears off after awhile and it becomes easier going through the winter months. Now the car's evolved into a street legal track toy. I do miss the track experience more than anything in the winter months.

Got mine in late August this year. At least I was able to put in about 1200 miles before storing it 3 weeks ago. I'd love to do some mods in the garage, but it's unheated and too cold to be spending some time there. I'll just have to wait until spring. It saddens me to look at it daily and not be able to drive it.

I do not know what part of the world you are in. Here in pittsburgh we get times during the cold snowy months that the snow and salt are cleaned off the roads. That is when you jump on the chance to take it out. I know its not much to go on but its better then letting it sit all winter.

Same boat here...I had a C3 for the last 18 years and sold it the first weekend in Nov and bought my 01 QS Coupe on 6 Nov...The new drilled and slotted rotors just showed up and I picked up some Caliper paint. Working on gathering a few more goodies and may start that brake job the first weekend in Jan. Fortunately, we don't use salt here but they slam the roads with sand and micro gravel.

You find some good mods to do to get you through the winter. Perfect time to work on the car or just detail the heck out of it.

Thankfully here in Texas winter isn't bad so it's no problem driving year round. Salt on the roads is unheard of, ice/snow occurs rarely

New Hampshire. No such luck (and lots of salt).

Unheated garage, as well, so detailing is a challenge. Interior is still dealer clean (can see the vacuum tracks!). Feh... I just fondled it tonight when we got home.

I'll try to add a photo (thought I had) to my profile.

There is great indoor propane heater, Called Big Buddy....hook a 5 gal tank to it and it runs for days. Available at hunting supply stores. Works great here in Idaho, we haven't been above freezing since 1 Dec.
