A4 jumps during down shift

I am a new member and could use your knowledge with my problem. First of all I live in the northeast mountains of Tennessee and have not found a tuner in the area. I bought 98 vette with blown engine. Rebuilt engine to stock except for cam (EDEL 2215). Was not told of A4 problems. Had A4 rebuilt and on my way home noticed that when I coast from 60mph down to automatic 3rd gear down shift (between 52mph and 48mph) it started jumping, jerking. It does it in all down shifts while coasting, but not as bad. I have to hold a lot of pressure on brake to engage transmission from park. I should also mention that idle speed is 850rpm. Went back to A4 rebuild shop and was told throttle position sensor was bad. Replaced tps with no change. Not sure if rebuilder can remedy this problem. Would like to hear your suggestions.

Sounds like a couple of possibilities:

(1) Cable linkage on side of tranny not set correctly

(2) Module on side of tranny may be loose

(3) at this point it could be quite a few things all the way down to error of tranny shop - but it was "NOT" the TPS by far!

Can you pull the codes from the Vette and let us know if there are any?

Called tranny shop to set appointment to return vette . I then drove it around a little and checked codes.
