Default Does This Seem Right?

Just purchased a Monster Clutch level 2 and related hardware for my '04 vert. Checked with one area shop (Orlando Florida area) for a price on the Labor to Install.....they told me $1350.00!! I do have headers on it. Does that seem right? Anyone who recently has had a clutch installed please chime in with the cost of labor. Thanks in advance.

And a Merry Christmas to All!!!

Seems pretty high to me. When I had mine done $500 was a "good price" and $1k was about the norm. Nobody likes doing a C5 clutch so they might have said a high price because they simply don't want to do it. Perhaps you could ask someone in your regional forum for a suggestion on where to go in your area.

1K is extremely high. The most someone should pay is around $600-$700

We usually charge $450-$550 labor. Price varies pending slave cylinder change/bleed or additional preventive maintenance. Takes us exactly a day to do. Owner usually drops off around 9am, goes to work, then comes when we pick up. Usually between 5-8pm pending prior scheduling.

A regular shop should take 1-3 days pending parts or some type of unknown delay. There is always what if's when working on previously touched vehicles.

Also Black O2 is correct about the over pricing on a job they might not want to do. Could be a way to just turn you away politely. If you agree then its worth the hassle on their end.

That sounds like an "If you're gonna say do it, you're gonna pay dearly cause we're not that interested in that kind of work" price quote. Good luck.

I'm doing clutch, flywheel, slave and remote bleeder at my local shop in Jax for $900. EFI Alchemy - top Corvette shop. Tell them Randy sent you. It's only about an hour drive from Debary.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the replies/info...

Got an email back from Geoff at Next Level Performance this morning...looks like that's where I'll be going $950.00 - $1000.00 with the header removal and pilot bearing.
