Default Newbie tuner question

Hello all ,and merry Christmas
I just got a 2001 coupe , it came with the twin k and n air set up, but other than that ,it seems stock, ive searched the site, but cant find a simple answer,

I want to put headers , and new mufflers on the car, I understand that I should get a tune after the install, but will a tuner like a diablo do the trick,
any input would be great

You do not necessarily need to get a tune with intake/headers/exhaust, but doing so will maximize the gains of the additional "air flow" that the new hardware provides.

I don't know a lot about the Diablo tune, but believe that it will give you some improvement over stock. I had mine dyno tuned, with these same mods, for $300. I think the Diablo is less, but I would wait and spend the additional difference on a dyno tune at a reputable tuner...
