I am able to drive her, here are some pictures of the damage...
I am very grateful, the damage could have been much worse. Though seeing her like this is a heart breaker, I miss driving her already although I'm never driving anywhere near snow again!
Indeed! I'm almost thinking of doing it myself....
Maybe even throw in some new projector headlight kits.
If you're thinking about fixing it yourself and no Frame damage, I would suggest trying to find some used TR parts. TR is a fairly common color then you could just replace the panels and no need to paint.
As far as body shops in the area go. Elco Chevrolet probably sells the most Corvettes in the area.
Sorry about your crash. I live in a winter city and in reading your post you stated you had 40 feet of sliding before you crashed. Well the way I read it you had 40 feet to avoid a crash. I have been there many times because of where I have to drive. Get off of the icy section of the road and look for less traveled areas....center of road or right next to the curb and try stopping there. Above all keep speed down especially coming to a intersection where ice is likely. These are things I have learned, no lecture intended. Good luck with the repair. Rob
The guy asks a question and out of all these comments, ONE person try's to answer it. I don't live near St. Charles so I can't help, but I won't give my opinion because that's not what he's looking for. Geez!
I would start looking for parts right here on the forum. Hood & head lights are items that will be taken off for modifications, should be an easy find. I seen front noses on Ebay from salvage yards. Hope you still have the headlight assembly for wire harness. The hit had to be light since you did not mention any airbag deployment. Since you were low and the SUV had a higher bumper I would think the body panels adsorbed most of the impact. The earlier post mentioned looking for body panels in TR, there is a strong possibility that the panels will be a perfect match. I have found painted Targa Tops for friends that were perfect matches. Good luck with the fix!
They will fix it and it will look and drive like new. I went to school in Chesterfield Mo but I know of no repair shops. I am sure there are some good ones around.
That sucks Sorry to hear about that. At least your ok. It could have always been worse. I'm sure that you will get the car fixed and back on the road soon!

He said the street he was on was DOWNHILL and that's what made him slide.
You're okay that's the key. I feel for you. I drove my other car five miles and 30 minutes out of the way today because it was snowing and I didn't want to go down two hills....... Be thankful you are okay.
I have a torch red headlight assembly 400 shipped. Sorry about your wreck. Doesn't look to bad. Hardest part is getting the inner fender lined back up.
Wow! I would definitely be interested in that headlight assembly, PM me the details.
I have a couple headlights as well....PP me $25 ( shipping) and i'll get em out to ya... Wish I had more... I just sold a bumper... or I would shoot that to ya as well.
Thanks for your inquiry to my PM for a TR C5 Hood. I've sent 8 pictures to your PM showing all the hood point edges (which are often damaged on the ones on ebay) as well as the 1 scratch and largest paint chip.
It's winter and I'm not in a hurry if that helps. I had a '98
I'm also from the St. Charles area (St. Peters actually). If you haven't picked a shop yet send me a PM and I'll give you a few you can contact that do good work.
I recommend you use an OEM bumper, after market aren't quite the same. My 1st C5 I hit a raccoon and decided I'd go after market front bumper, I regretted it the entire time I owned that car.
