Does it really make a difference power wise with the traction control? I notice a lot of people have the traction control off when doing wot runs.. Does it really slow the car down when going full throttle?

On my C5 Z06 I always keep it in Competitive mode. Therefore it keeps the active handling "ACTIVE" while turning the traction control off. I would never advise turning the active handling off. If the traction control is active then yes the computer limits wheel slippage and power.

I have had traction control cut power on me maybe 2 times. When I get into the throttle and feel the tires begin to slip I usually am feathering the throttle some. It's not very intrusive when I do this. Now when I just romp on it and let the tires spin it'll pull substantial power.
