Right now my c5 is my only car, so I need to get a winter car. Can't drive it in snow and don't want to drive it in the rain really. So I'm looking to keep it GM. I don't like SUV's so they are out of question. Don't want anything new, but I still want my car to look nice. Anybody have a good recommendation I can look into?
Get an all wheel drive Equinox. I've had 2 of them over time. One was the first generation Equinox, then I got a second generation one. Both of them great vehicles.

KIA not GM but cheap. Not like you will be driving it each and ever day. Plus can put a sticker on it my other car is a corvette.
The chevy malibu is a great car, my son has a 2010
and loves it. Very reliable and good looks too. Good gas
mileage as well with the 4 cylinder and the six
Americans don't make any good winter cars unless you want a huge *** barge or a truck. My daily driver is an Audi allroad:
Gorgeous interior with heated seats front and rear, heated steering wheel, heated autodimming mirrors, xenon lights, good stock stereo, 73 ft^3 of cargo space with seats down, 37" rear legroom with seats up, real 50/50 AWD, 250 hp stock and 300-350 hp with just an ECU tune which brings 0-60 time under 6 seconds, available in both ZF auto with manual mode or an actual 6-speed manual transmission, and 5000 lb towing capacity with height-adjustable self-leveling air suspension.

I had to replace my subaru forester last year after a bad accident and got a simple low mile 2002 accord. Great on gas and like you said very low maintenance!
I Have a 2000 Excursion so that fall under the Huge SUV haha. Then a Chrysler 300c not a very good winter car but fun! but a Chrysler 300m is cheap and nice. good on gas but still packs a punch. I had one and loved the hell outta it. Looking to get another
Another Subaru fan here. I have an Outback wagon and a Baja. Outback is a 2000 with 130K miles - neither my wife nor I drive it as a DD anymore but it is a great backup for my wife or kids to drive in nasty weather and for hauling the dogs. Love '03 Baja DD (would love it even more with the H6). Go anywhere, anytime reliability. I will always have a Subaru (but the 'Vette will always get the garage).
You might find the Impreza, WRX, or CrossTrek a little more interesting/exciting. BRZ is awesome, but it's RWD.
K9Leader Red cars are faster. They did a study on it.
