Default Tire Question - Sizes

I'm about to buy some new wheels. Sizes will be 18" x 8.5" and 19" x 10". Recommended tire sizes are 275/35-18 and 285/35-19 respectively. Just wondering what everyone else is running on similar size wheels. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

275 35 18 is too wide for 18x18.5

that uses 245 40 18 if you want to match the rear

also is a hair taller than stock so you will probably be off 1-2mph on the speedo

typically people run 305 30 19 on 19x11 and 275 35 18 on 18x9.5

or

295 30 19 and 265 35 18 on 19x10.5 and 18x9

Fronts: 18x9.5 +57mm offset with 275/35/18's

Rears: 19x11 +64mm offset with 305/30/19's

The offsets are factory sizes so they sit flush.

I have on order tires for 19x9 & 19x10 and will be running 255/35/19 & 285/35/19 Nitto Invo's, the front sidewall should be even with the rim & the rear should have about 3/16" bulge.

Why would the 275/35-18 be too wide? Seems other's are running that size upfront.

The tire itself if not too wide for the car. What he is stating is that the tire is too wide for the rim size you chose. A 275/35/18 is sized to fit rims 9"-11" wide. The people running them have 18 x 9.5 rim up front.

That tire size is the stock C6Z width, but the rim is the narrower base C6 size.

It'll also make your car look weird because the front tires will be ballooning of the wheels in that size while the rears will look correct.
