Key FOB question
I am looking to get an additional key FOB for my '97 Corvette. Why is it the '97 to '00 key FOB more expensive than the later model C5's?
I know the original FOB had the passive system on it. I've read those FOB's are discontinued.

The difference is only $11 more for a 97 to 00 key fob. The tire TPS does seem to be much more of a price difference.
You can replace the entire key fob and TPS system with the newer (01/04) style. It doesn't seem to be too hard to update.

Upgrading to the newer '01-'04 system is pretty easy. I did it on my '99 in an afternoon. Doing it again would be shorter time.
