And I'm pumped, not to understate it! The dealer just got the check from our bank, and the wife and I fly to South Carolina to pick it up on the 21st (I'm on the rig till then). 2000 vert that's been very well cared for and the dealer we're buying it from even knows the prior owner, so they know the car to be in excellent condition. I can't wait to take her to some family in SC we're going to see while we're there and then drive her on home to Houston. This makes it an even ten Corvettes I've had over the years, and I've had at least one in the driveway since I was 25 years old. I feel so blessed!

Congrats! It looks clean.

The first mod I would make would be to contact Dennis at DD mods and fix the broken center console bezel. Perhaps a double din NAV unit.

Also, be careful driving home with those blackouts. Some LEOs are not very mod-friendly and a Corvette already draws enough attention.

Enjoy!

Hearty congrats! Hard to beat a C5 vert! Enjoy the trip!

When you get home, maybe have Corvettes of Houston give it a once over. Their staff has always impressed me.

Thanks for the support, encouragement, and advice, everyone.

As for the tail light black outs, do they just screw over the factory lenses or do they take their place entirely? If they just screw over the factory units, I'll take them off while I'm in the Carolinas. Otherwise they'll have to wait till I get home. Since it'll have a temporary South Carolina tag on it and I have a Texas DL, hopefully the LEO will be lenient if I can't take them off before I leave.

Wendell , I haven't had as many as you but I had two 68's one 67 , one 69 ,an 87, and my present 01 ( All Convertibles ) and I can tell you the 01 is the best of all of them so there is no doubt that you are going to love it. How could you not love it , the pictures are great.

Those look like the screw on kind. Should just be a T15 hex head I think. It will take you 5 mins to take them off. Looks greats. Have a fun ride home.

What he said. First Vette I have owned that you don't drive on the week end and tighten all the bolts on the week days. Enjoy
