Found this on the big auction site.

Sometimes putting 2 good things together just does not work. This is one of those times....

Pretty steep price for a 2000 C5 Convertible with 62K miles and a replacement front clip and paintwork.
I'm with Leo23, this look just doesn't work. Never cared for it. I prefer an original or an original bodied C1 Resto-Mod. Waste of a beautiful C5 imo.

Kinda reminds me just a little of the Rolls Royce front end conversion kits for the old air-cooled VW Beetles.

If only it had torque thrust wheels, it could be considered 100% appalling.

Even worse than the 1953 version (
http://www.aatcars.com/commem_ed.html ).
That one at least had the (more or less) correct rear end.

Needs the back end to match . If you ever drove an original C2 you would know that this conversion is an incredible improvement in ride and drivability so you get the best of both worlds. I do like the full conversions although our stock C5's are no dog either. Not worth the difference in price for the conversion.

I never understood the need to "remodel" any Corvette. They're perfect when they come off the line.
