Hey im new to the C5 world and have a few questions.
IM looking at a feww low priced upgrades to my C5 starting with
cold air intake. A what i have found is a lot of different options.
so my question, How is that dual air intake kit that is floating around for under 200 bucks. Is it worth it or no? and second thing i was looking at was a Econoiad throttle body spacer. Found one for 29.99 on summit racing website. What are some of the other C5 owers feelings on this.
And what are some other DIY upgrades for a novice that isnt going to cost thousands of doll hairs.

When I had my '00 coupe, I installed a Blackwing air intake - easy install, looks great and cost was reasonable.
As for other mods to do, just depends on what you are going for - performance or appearance. A little more info would help in giving you some options to consider.
There are lots of forum members that have all sorts of mods. The only mod I did was a Corsa exhaust. I did this because of the sound. Putting in cams, cold air, headers or a super charger is not what I need. These cars have lots of performance all by them selves. For city, hwy and a few track days, I have all I need. If I were to have a track car then I guess I would trick the hell out of it. No disrespect to anyone who mods out their car because to each is own. But I wonder if much of this is a waste of money.

Yea i have checked out the blackwing air intake. as far as what im looking too do is, I want to keep the look of the car itself as stock as possible. I love how Chevy has it looking, as side from maybe some kind of spoiler of some sort on the back. but I dont want to get into that motor part of it because im no mechanic and this is my daily driver so im not trying to create problems for myself so what ever little performance things I can like the air intake is what im look more so for.

The Blackwing is a good intake, so is Vararam, the Callaway Honker, and K+N.
So, your not looking to dump a whole lot of money for mods, and that's fine. Everyone is different with their Corvette priorities.
Don't know anything about the throttle body spacer your speaking of but there are other mods, namely the exhaust you can have changed out. Any competent muffler shop can have that done in an hour. Corsa, B+B, SLP, Dynomax, Borla, to name a few. Just depends on how much you want to spend on a good cat-back.
SS brake lines, enhanced rotors, lowering kit/bolts are also relatively inexpensive mods. Since you don't want to touch the engine or cosmetics, I don't need to go any further.
