Default Exhaust Decibel Chart

Does anyone have, or know of an exhaust decibel chart that covers the majority of exhausts used on these cars? I found one thread, but the links didn't work. The 2 exhausts I'm comparing so far are the SLP Loudmouths and the B&B Bullets, but I would like to see the decibel ratings for other exhaust systems also.

Thanks.

Basically, I'm looking for that race car sound. I'm going to check a few out to see the livability. So far, I've narrowed my choices down to the SLP Loudmouth, B&B Bullets, and maybe a couple Borla systems, but I'm also looking for other similar exhausts. I pretty much want the loudest system I can get.

run straight pipes from your long tubes through an x pipe. if you want to be loud, why use mufflers at all?

I personally love the sound of the stock ti exhaust. Not the loudest, but an agressive note. IMO, the best sounding stock Corvette (maybe best GM...I have this argument with my father who had an 02 WS-6).

As far as aftermarkets, I love the way the Corsa sounds. It's got a nice growl to it. I had B&B on my other 04 Z06, and hated it. It was loud for the sake of being loud. Didn't love the sound...just had a lot of it. The drone at most highway speeds was enough to make me go nuts.

+1 on the straight pipes if you just want the loudest possible sound. then take the money you saved and invest in long tubes. i put straight pipes on mine until i have the time to install my headers and get a tune, then i planned to put the stock ti back on. sadly, ive fallen in love with the straight pipes.

I have LT's and catless x-pipe into some SLP loudmouths. I've been told my car is the loudest by far they've heard.

Just to give you a heads up you will get a lot of drone with the B&B's and the SLPs. It doesn't bother me any. I wouldn't call it race car sound either, it's more like ***** out loud ALL THE TIME.

Video doesn't do it justice. I have B&B Bullets, no cats, headers and a cam. Before I did the headers and cam, it still was loud, and I loved it. After headers, it sounds like a damn race car at wide open throttle. I don't mind the volume, so I love it. A lot of old fogeys on here can't stand a loud car and go back to stock TI or something more mild. Where you from?

I had Kooks longtubes and X-pipe into the SLP Loudmouth on my H/C/I Z06... the drone was unbelievable and I swapped on the stock Ti axleback ASAP

The volume outside of the car wasn't really the problem (it sounded awesome), it was the noise inside the car that was such a headache

Now it sounds great under throttle and doesn't really weigh any more than the straight pipe SLPs. Someday I may do the bypass on the Ti system, but until then I'm happy.

im with monolith. get the b&b bullets with american racing headers and x pipe with no cats. throw in a cam and you'll wake the dead in china. no joke! youll think the b&b bullets are loud with stock manifold and h pipe. you'll also want a partition if you havent gotten one already. itll make it to where you can actually enjoy the sound and not the drone.

I've had bullets, stingers, prt and now slp loud mouth and ill say loudmouth has a more raspier race car sound the bullets have a deeper muscle car tone. I think loudmouth is a bit louder and more echoing sound. I have longtubes no cats full bolt ons heads and a 112lsa cam and its just stupid obnoxious loud.

Which I love, but must admit its kinda getting old after 2 years and I kinda wanna listen to my radio again and have a sentence longer than 3-4 words when she's in the car. But yea trust me on this slp hands down with a 110-114lsa cam sounds nastier than bullets.

I think I may actually go back to bullets but hey check this video out its awesome has everything like my car but I have heiads.
I remember when I first saw this I was in love. To me it sounds the best just stupid loud and its awesome when ur driving. If u must have the loudest I vote slp loudmouth with a 110-114lsa cam. I have the f14 cam as the guy in the vid.

So I haven't started my car for a while and cranked it up today. This is the first time I've just let it idle to idle since I got the headers and cam, and when I walked in, I noticed the pictures on the wall were shaking. It was a proud moment....

Thanks for the videos! I think I'm gonna have to check out a few in person to see what sounds best to me. I'm still torn between the Bullets and the Loudmouths!
