I was/am looking at an OBX system for my C4. The OBX site doesn't even have a phone number to call. I found their number from the better business bureau.
I tried some of their distributors listed on the OBX web site. One of them had a phone number, but no one answers. Another did not have a phone number.
I tried online buying a set from one of their dealers and the transaction failed due to the "merchant" was not set up to handle a credit card (even though they have that option on their web site.)
I also found out from OBX that their dealers generally do not stock any product even though their web sites show they have them in stock. OBX confirmed they don't stock, and that OBX could not get the C4 LT1 system for at least several months.
In short, they have no customer service and barely have any business at all. Even though the pricing and product are attractive to me, I doubt that I will pursue them any more.
I suspect the C5 parts may be more available than the C4 system I wanted, but they still don't have much of a business or dealer system, or customer service.
yuo could buy a set of obx which im sure wouldnt sound very good, once every 5-8 years or double down and get something quality http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magnaflow-Catback-Exhaust-97-04-Corvette-C5-5-7L-16732-/160779761717?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256f387835&vxp=mtr
Well friends my husband and I found what we were looking for on ebay. Obx catback exhaust for 477.00 and free shipping. They weren't hard to put on at all my husband did it right here in our driveway. It is true though that the clamps they give u suck! So we went to Oriellys and bought some better clamps. The exhaust sounds awesome!!! And they look great! They look just like borla exhaust but cost a whole lot less!! Thanks for everybody's help!
When did you purchase this exhaust, I have been unable to find it, I had assumed it was no longer available.
We bought them from ebay on 3/18/14 they arrived on 3/24/18. It's listed as ( obx catback exhaust fit for 97 98 99 00 01 02 03 04, corvette 5.7v8, c5 z06 ls1. Seller on ebay was pioneering custom design / allmotorsportsaccessories@gmail.com. hope this helps! We love ours and get lots of compliments on the look and sound.

They actually do have customer service...
It's the same customer service for the makers of these things
That's pretty funny! I don't really care about customer service for the exhaust. We checked out all the reviews from other people who ordered from them and they all had good reviews about them. Like I said though the clamps they give u when buying this exhaust do suck but u can either buy Ur own clamps or take it to a muffler shop and have them to weld the exhaust where the clamps go. Either way out still cost less and sound great!
I checked into an OBX system mainly because the price attracted me. After reading around though I ended up going with Borla (more money, I know) but because of their reputation and warranty I found it worth the extra scratch to buy a brand name exhaust.
In all car forums OBX has never had a reputation for outstanding quality products. I remember buying an OBX fuel fail for my turbo eclipse and someone had forgotten to drill the hole for the third injector. Awesome stuff.
I guess it all boils down to how much money u want to spend! There's always going to good and bad experiences with any product you buy. As far as warranty issues go I've found that 95 percent of businesses that sell exhaust have a disclaimer on their warranty that states once you put your exhaust on your car and run it you will not be able to get a full refund. It doesn't matter if you only ran your car for 1 minute at that point they are considered used. We weren't willing to risk paying 1,000.00 or more on exhaust and then find out we didn't like the way they sounded and not be able to get the amount we spent on them back.
I bought a 2000 C5 back in January and noticed it didn't have the stock exhaust, So with a little looking around I found a tag reading OBX-R.. The car sounds great but with my untrained eye I thought the mufflers were sagging and the 4 exhaust tips were not square.
Took it to my muffler guy and he squared it up with new clamps. I thought I had a nice cat back system until I started searching around, But with the $40 charge from the shop I'm happy.
Don't waste your money on the OBX. I bought the full system and ended up cutting the cat backs to make them fit without hanging down.. The clamps suck and the customer service is horrible. The flanges on the headers had to be clearanced before the bolts would go in to the heads. I actually seized one in the head and ended up pulling the head to have the threads repaired. Spend the money on a quality system made in the USA.....rick
