Sounds like you had fun. My trip was about 2800 round trip. It is a great way to learn the car. Check out the local Vette forum. If you want to get to meet some locals, there's a run to Gila Bend on March 8th in the ACE Events section for a BBQ. You should think about attending. Should be about 100+ Vettes at this event. Congrats on a great looking car.

Congrats, I also like the color combo, but it will be hot in the Arizona sun.

Beautiful car man! More than once I've longed for the vert. But I have a Miata to scratch that itch. Not many places better fore one than the SW. I lived in New Mexico for 8 years. Convertible heaven.

Looks beautiful. If you want to learn about detailing and taking care of black paint, let me know. I've had lots of black cars over the past 10 years. They say black is the detailer's final exam. Takes some work but done correctly, black gives more depth than any other color.

Thanks. 16.8k miles on it when I got it. 3k more now I really messed up the average.

Definitely do! I saw a yellow C5 darting south on 67th this AM. Now that I'm driving one, I suspect I'll see all of them around here.

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check that out.

Agree 100%. I got to take my daughter back to NAU today. Just got back. 300 topless miles today. It got a little cool in Flagstaff, but about halfway down the hill it was 67 and perfect!

Now the fun starts. I have a huge wish list but decided not to buy anything until I had possession of the car. Now that she's in the garage, time to break out the wish list and get some goodies ordered.

Thanks for all the nice remarks. I look forward to interacting with you all on the forum and hopefully get a chance to meet some AZ folks.

Great looking car, congrats.

And kudos to you, for the flight, and 'long' drive home.
A few years ago; I flew to Atlanta, bought my C5 sight unseen; and drove it home. What a great experience, that was.

I feel bad for some guys, when I read how they 'trailor' a car home after buying it. These cars 'rock' on the open road! And, they clean up nicely, afterwards.

No one should ever pass the opportunity to take C5 Corvette out on the road; open 'em up, and go......

Congrats and great looking vert. If you can find a local Vette club join it and get involved. You'll get a lot of good advice on Vettes and have a great time!

Ugh, it's the end of machine pitch baseball for my youngest that day and we're going to a Cleveland spring training game. Otherwise I would have jumped on this. I've got ACE bookmarked though and will be on the lookout for upcoming events. I found Corvettes & Caffeine at Corvette Performance coming up Saturday but we have baseball that day too.
