I have a 98 and my wife has an 02. We both had Magnaflow 16732 axle back exhaust installed. Her mufflers are hidden pretty well but my mufflers are exposed more. We used the same muffler shop. Can mine be adjusted up so that they are hidden more?

You can definitely see that the exhaust tips in the second pic are much closer to the rear fascia than those in the first pic. And the muffler itself is tucked up higher too. I would think that a good muffler shop should be able to make some adjustments to where the ones in the first pic look just like the ones in the second pic.
I took it to the muffler shop and they showed me in the pictures that my rear under the slats are curved and my wife's car are straight across. Did not notice that. Anybody else know that?

'slats' ? Not sure what your are referring to .. but since they're both a C5 I would expect them to be the same - unless a previous owner modified something.
Hey there kmk56. I have no idea why your mufflers are hanging like they are. However, several of us are going to cars & coffee in Louisville at Capt. Quarters Sat. from 9-11am. Wanna meet us there? Some of us are meeting in Crestwood at 8:30 if you are interested. More details available in the southeast forum under Louisville Vette drivers.
The 2 open slats behind each muffler. Is there a corvette name for the openings
Ah okay .. not that I know of and they are they to vent heat from mufflers. I think several C5s over the years have developed a 'sag / deforming' from the heat and that might be want you're seeing / experiencing.
Unless it's just the angle of the shots you posted, it definitely looks as if the area underneath the muffler vents on your lower fascia is different than your wife's. They appear to rise up a bit instead of going straight across. But I agree that the shop should be able to adjust it so it doesn't look like it currently does.
Yeah...I know they curve after the muffler shop pointed it out to me. I had this built in 98 so I am the original owner. The heat from the mufflers couldn't have done it. I am going to look at that one post ( show us your rear). Maybe I have a rare car....broke the mold...worth millions...yeah right
