Exactly, same mentality of the Harley guys. Just loud for the sake of being loud & obnoxious. And yet they think their getting attention because of all their noise, but the attention is mostly not in their favor.

That's the number one reason that a lot of people hate hot rods & bikes. Then the same noise makers complain about the police enforcement of their loud vehicles.

That being said, I don't like the stock C5 exhaust sound either but not because of the volume. I ordered a Corsa x-pipe and exhaust for my Z plus will be having it tuned for a 7200 RPM redline for the thing to sound less like a Suburban and more like the world class sports car that it truly is.

I'll be honest, that thread--especially the pictures--paints an unflattering picture of your product. It was enough to turn me away. If you're confident the production issues are fixed and you're in Scottsdale, I'd like to take a look at them before I shell out the cash. Can we arrange that?

No problem. I am that confident. Back in 2013 I was manufacturing them over seas, now back in the USA in Phoenix,AZ

I don't have any good sound clips for you to hear, sorry. I think you will like the bullets if you decide to go that route. I will be out of town for a week otherwise I would try to hook up with you so you could hear what mine sounds like. If you don't decide on a system this week let me know and we might be able to set a time and place later next week.

Snicker, that is funny. I have a bunch of work planned for sound deadening. Different problems though.

I keep trying to send her to boot camp to get her squared away but she won't stay on the damn bus.

I didn't like the 2 big tip Borla system my car came with and I thought the off gas gurgle was a bit much. I traded for a set of Z06 titanium cans and love the sound. I think it sounds like a proper performance car, not ricey or too muscly.

Now an early C3 with some serious side pipes is another matter.

Used to think loud exhaust was "cool" when I was a teenager, now I think it's generally a waste of time and $$$. $1000-1500 can buy a lot of other things (like other toys). Why make all the noise anyway, speak softly, and carry a big stick is a better deal.

I think the 'mustang' sound is due to the OHV engine - vs the pushrods we have.

My old Dakota truck (!) sounded an awful lot like a Mustang; 4.7l SOHC v8

Anyway - the sound I like best is good old cherry-bomb glasspacks. They are quiet at cruise, no backpressure at all, available in different lengths for different sound reduction, and sound great under throttle. Cheap too, have a good shop weld it all up.

Cherry bombs on a Corvette May as well but big MUDDER tires on it too.

The pushrod Fox bodies sound awesome also. Mustangs are a great sounding car. I've owned many.

Corsa or used Z06 Titanium. Zero drone and nice tone.
