New member here. Trying to wade through tire and rim info and opinions, can be quite mind numbing. I would like to post my conclusions and welcome anyone to poke holes in it. Cheaper now then after I pull the trigger on the purchase.
It's on a 2003 Z06 and am looking at Cray Scorpion rims. Fronts would be 18X9 with a 50mm offset and tires would be Michelin Super sport 275 or 265/35-18 (little help here would be great). The rear would be 19X10.5 with a 65mm offset and tires would be 305/30-19. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have concerns on the front size. Width and height make me nervous about rubs when turning. The right rims. does anyone have and opinion on the size for the front.
My car is lowered all the way on shaved stock bolts and I have never had any rubbing. My new CCW wheels are the same size with the same size tire also.
The 265 would be ok as far as diameter just watch out for the Super Sports deep rim protectors has a 10.7 section width on a 9.5 width rim not sure where it would be on a 9" but here is a 265/35/19 on a 9" may push your tire out past your fender depending on how much camber you run.
What is the real section width of what you have on your car now.

It has the stock rims and tires 265/40/17 which is 10.4 width and sidwall appears to be fairly straight so I would think not much more then 10,5 to 10.6 and that's on a 9.5" rim. appears to have some clearance.

I do not see any reason why you cannot run the SS, the section width is listed as the same on Tire Rack, and diameter is same as the 265/40/17 and if you run on a 9" rim it would pull the sidewall straight and probably keep it inside the fender line, and running a 305 on a 10.5 would do the same, I think it would look good.
