I'm currently trying to purchase 4 wheels, no tires, from a forum member. Told me it's going to run almost $100 per wheel to ship from CA to MO. How is everyone else shipping wheels? Thanks.

figure about a buck per pound with Fedex, but you need to set up your own account and use it for the transit. You give your account # to the seller and he uses it when he fills out the form on line, then prints out the labels. This is a very common practice now, at first I thought it was risky giving out such information but I have never seen abuse. Use a fake business name when you sign up with Fedex and you will get the very nice discount. I've been doing it this way for a couple years and have saved tons on shipping. And, if you belong to Costco you will get 5% back if you use your American Express card for payment. I suggest TommyGun Enterprises.

UPS ground shipping for 4 packages, each weighing 20 lbs from San Diego to St Louis is $138.00.
Now, it did take me a while to cushion and tape each wheel that I sent to someone in Wisconsin, not too long ago, but I did not charge the buyer for that. A reasonable amount is probably justifiable, however.
