Just tried installing a VR-B2 on my Vette, this thing is a joke! looks like a couple of tweaker's did a few lines and put this together! The filter is falling apart from the oil and it's 1/2" short on both sides, not to mention it would never seal anyway. I have some pic's, just dont know how to upload them.

Got my Vararam VR-B2 from Corvettes of Houston on 12/08/2010 for a whopping $229 shipped. After install, I experience an immediate performance improvement over the twin cone filter intake I had before. I also saw my coolant temp consistently reading around five degrees cooler than before.

Sorry, I love my Vararam. Unless something about their product has changed, I would definitely do it again.

I have to agree.....I took that ill fitting garbage off my car. Replacing it was my first mod. Mine was letting all kinds of dirt past the massive gaps where it's supposed to seal.

If he was the only one who ever complained about the fit and quality of Vararam intakes, you might have a point.

Hopefully these will be easier to follow than the vararam instructions.

I had one on my blue 02 and it fit perfect.

However... since then when I bought my next C5, I wised up and just went F/I to begin with

Sorry you weren't mechanically inclined enough to complete the install. I read all the complaints yet bought one anyways. I feared the install. Turned out way easier than people claimed.

Yes the filter fits horrible but a little silicone and nothing gets past the filter now.

So far to date the VR is hands down the best performance enhancer I have installed on my vette

I installed mine in my 03 Z06 and granted it was tight and took tim, but I got everything to line up really good and it seems to work pretty damn good! maybe you got a faulty unit?

While the filter may give performance gains in if it fits right, there have been many stories posted here on the forum complaining about the fit of the system.

I have been running the Vararam B2 for years now. Clean the filter as needed. The system works as advertised. Guess some need install wisedom/help. 45K plus since the VRB2 went in. Many heavy rainstorms, all the other reasons to hate the VR system have not panned out here! I would do it all over again for sure!
