Cb?..yes I checked the fuse #32..I can see the solenoid, maybe I can reach my hand in to release door..
Pull out the center console and unplug the plug that connects to the switch. Get a wire tester and place one end to either wire on the plug, and the other end of the tester to the other wire in the plug to see if you're getting power to it. It should be hot at all times even with car off.
I got emergency wire back in place and this thing is stuck like glue..is there anything I can safely spray to loosen up to get the plunger/solenoid working without having to remove it from car yet?..would wd40 work or will it damage the something?..
Some success with hooking up the test light..it actually activated the solenoid...what now..what does this mean?..bad switch or something else?..
If I'm not mistaken, when you short the two connectors in the harness to the switch (as a test light would do) you activate the solenoid. This leads me to believe you had a bad connection at the switch or the switch is in the process of failing.
Yeah..I tested it and no light came on..it's a old tester so light mat be out..so I touched the 2 together and bam, door opens..now it works fine so I'm gonna roll with that for now..still not sure why emergency pull would not budge it..
