Default Nevada Open Road Challenge

anyone taking their C5 to this mid-may event to compete?

I'll be running in the "touring class" (read training wheels) as a rookie with a target speed of 110 MPH and a tech speed of 124 MPH.

As long as I don't DQ I'll move to "grand touring" next May with a target speed of 125 MPH and a tech speed of 140 MPH.

Should be fun, usually lots of vettes attend & compete...

see ya there!

Default Yes I was actually, that or the Silver State...

http://www.sscc.us/

Was considering doing the same class and taking the same subsequent steps, next year.
Been dreaming of doing this since seeing my first event, The Pony Express Open Road Race, while staged along the course as an emergency response/fire fighter in 2004.
Been formulating a build plan and collecting parts for my car for several years now and thought I had it coming together for this year.
However, my car won't be ready for it this year as I have other commitments I thought would be fulfilled by now.
Plus I'm still "needing" a few more performance items.
I'm considering at least coming to participate as a spectator and scope things out as much as allowed for when I do get the car ready.
I'll look for you.
