Been looking at different Headers for what I know will come down the road is gonna be a new Cam and a Bad A$$ set of Cathedral Heads is to come.
My car has an LS2 in it already w 243s and a Ls6 and a Custom Grind 236/238 Cam.
It had on it the Orginal set of Kooks headers....1 3/4? or 1 7/8? not real sure.
Had my eye on a big set of 2in Primary Headers > Is this over kill?
Next..... what Intake would ya have to have to make it worth going w 2'' Headers over a set of 1 7/8" ????
Really dont wanna go w a FAST if its gonna hit the firewall / cowl....and I will NOT out the lower motor mounts in my car becuase it is slammed to the ground as it is.
When I called the guys at ARH for a ~600rwhp supercharged car, they recommended 1 7/8". They said that the 2" primary headers are for bigger cubes and/or over about 1000rwhp.
I would call a couple of manufacturers and ask for recommendations.
Yeah 2" is not what I'd recommend, Fast reintroduced the 92 and you can run it w/o hitting the firewall. Otherwise I'd recommend an LS3 top end, but you'd need to change your cam.
