Never say never about the value never going up.... Try buying a 69 Chevelle Malibu that's not a pile of rust, just as the c5 is plentiful now and not really expensive it can change fast
69 Chevelles were mass produced also and at one time were everywhere and could be bought for a song ( unless you had a voice like mine ) along with 67-69 Camaros and 64 and up Mustangs . Most all of the sought after cars of years ago went to the bottom before they went back up. Anyone that beats their C5 into the ground because they think that they will never be worth anything is radically mislead , but it's your car and if you destroy it , mine will be worth more when the rest are gone , just like the 69 Chevelles , 67-69 Camaro's , etc. This is coming from a guy that lived through it.
IMHO the C5 has that low slung, slippery as a fish, look that the C6 does not have. I love the C6 so I basically made my car a C5.5. Non popup headlights, and a more modern front end.
