going to try to fix the pass side sun visor, its broke all the way across and also repair the end flap.
1. going to use gun oil to lube the hinge, wd40 evaps and 3 and 1 oil dries and hardens, but gun oil should last awhile
2. use 1/10 in plexiglass to patch it, going to use it full size of the composite board with cuts outs for the lights
3. using 5 min epoxy to glue it all together
4. going to try to pop rivet the plexiglass to the metal hinge
5. going to tape the end flap with paper packaging tape
6. sew it back up with nylon thread
7. if I screw it up will buy a new one since its black and still avilable

finally got back to this project, could not find the paper backed tape I wanted, so used 2" strapping tape to strengthen the end flaps, I don`t care if I ever use it, just don`t want it hanging down, also used the tape to strengthen the opposite side cardboard.
here is the plexiglass cut out roughly, its leaning up against the open sunvisor. Now the two pieces are glued together, I can trim the plexiglass to fit, I want to drill holes in it every where there is a staple or plastic rivet so it lays flat.
back to this project, ended up cutting the plexiglass into 3 sections, too hard to work epoxy on a large piece, here is a pic of the first section fitted up with the pop rivet fitted in place, turns out the pop rivet helps hold the plexiglass in place while gluing and clamping
gluing complete, now need to grind off the high spots of epoxy, clean up all the dust, and sew it back together, over all its heaver and thicker than original, but feels much more solid.
