I recently busted the terminal off the delco solnoid while installing new headers. Is the starter solnoid something I can replace or do I have to buy a whole new starter?

You can probably just buy the solenoid or get it repaired at a starter shop , but if you have the starter with one long and one short mounting bolt be advised that those starters are breaking the engine blocks in some C5's . Change it out for a Silverado truck starter with two long bolts.

Really ? I have never heard of that happening. I will keep that in mine if I ever have to replace mine.

It has been well known since 2003 and talked about on some of the Corvette forums. The small tab on the starters breaks off and puts extra stress on the outer long bold and it takes out a huge chunk of the engine block. It's a simple thing to do to eliminate the problem. Just buy a Silverado truck starter with the longer reinforced inner side of the starter which takes a longer bolt. Then the starter gets replaced with two long bolts. This was a problem on LS1 engines , Corvettes and Camaros. This involves all engines even before 2003.

I also agree on the truck style LS starters (two long bolts) for a replacement. Silverados, Yukons, Escalades, etc w/LS motors used them.
Bill Curlee can attest to what happens to an engine block when a starter FUBARs. He had a welding job on his hands.
That's correct. It is the same starter in some other vehicles other than the Silverado as long as it is an LS engine. I had only 22k. miles on my vette and no problems but replaced it with a new long bolt starter for a 2007 Silverado 6.0 engine before a problem develops. This is the best mod you could ever do to your car. Don't need those kind of problems.
