When I bought this beautiful torch red 2003 coupe I new it was going to be her car. Not just her car but her daily driver. She insisted it be a six speed since her daily driver she was leaving behind was a '94 Z28 we bought new. It too was a six speed. Every day when she comes home from work I ask her "How was your Corvette day?". Every day is the same answer. Great! I see to it that it is well maintained and have convinced her that some mild mods are fine. Except for the powder coated red calipers and drilled and slotted rotors the car looks bone stock. She just loves it and that's all that matters to me. If you are in Northern California and come across a blond in a tr coupe watch out.
My story is similar to yours. Surprised my wife when I bought her our C5 , as with you it was hers.I knew she wanted Yellow and it had to be a 6 speed, After a short while I wanted one myself and started looking.Within a year I got the C5 and she got a new SLK350 so we were both happy. I still have the now modded C5 and love !
same story as me.......blonde wife wanted a c5z, only difference is, the only reason she wanted it was to turn into a track car. It's getting there.....current mods are in my signature, all which she wanted btw.
On a side note.....where in Northern Cali is Bay Point? I lived up in ElDorado Hills northeast of Sacramento for years.
Same story here.. last kid leaving the house and Mama wanted a ragtop, a Miata to be exact. I couldn't buy into the Mazda and said what about a Vette. She bought in and I (we) now have a 2004 6spd vert. She drives the M6 like a pro. She's got a very stressful job and when she leaves work the top goes down and the stress fades away. By the time she gets home and rolls into the driveway she's a whole new gal.. Happy wife, happy life.. It's mine on the weekends which is perfect.
