Default Wind Blockers

I see there are basically two options.

Windblox and Wind Restrictors. Huge difference in price. Both get good reviews for the company and product. Wind Restrictor seems to get the nod for looks by not having the strap on the headrest, but is it worth ~$250? Not sure.

My guess is they both work as advertised.

I guess you could put a cover over the head rest, but then the price difference is negated.

thoughts?

There is a 3rd option as well.
First of all, I wouldn't consider Windblox an option as, in my opinion, it looks cheap and nothing I would put on my car. That said, I have never seen one in person and don't know how effective they are.
The Wind Restrictor is the wind screen that you can install and leave it in even with the top up. From what I hear, this is the most popular option today.
The other option and similar to the Wind Restrictor is the VetteNet. This has been around since 2000 and needs to be removed when the top is put up. It can be installed and removed in around 1 minute and requires no modifications to the car. The VetteNet can be purchased for around $360 plus another $60 for a vinyl storage bag so price wise it is similar to the Wind Restrictor.
I personally went with the VetteNet last summer and it cuts the wind and wind noise considerably. My wife is happy with it and that's what counts!
Hope this helps you with your decision.

Interesting option - like it does not mount on the headrests and is color matched.

You can get several different colors, which is more costly however. Most are black, which is what I got.
Check them out at www.vettenet1.com

I have the Wind Restrictor and it works great. Before I had it when traveling at highway speeds there was just way too much buffeting and wind inside the cabin. With the Wind Restrictor it has removed the buffeting and the wind seems to travel over the car. I would recommend the Wind Restrictor. It's pricey but worth the function and looks it has. Not to mention I can keep it in place with the top up.

There is absolutely NO rattle or movement and I would guess it's as secure as the Wind Restrictor. I chose it over the Wind Restrictor for the flexibility & looks. I didn't know if I would want that extra glass up when I had the top up and there are days when I may not want the wind blocker up at all.
The Vette Net looks like it is part of the car as does the Wind Restrictor. Both are good choices and from what I hear are equally effective at blocking the wind. When not in use you can store it in the truck if you wish. If you go with the Vette Net I would recommend getting the vinyl storage case so it does not get scratched.
When I did my research I believed BOTH were good choices and it comes down to personal choice.
Search prior threads in the Forum for comments on both units and see what others have said about each before making your decision.
Good luck!

i appreciated you pointing out the vette net. I actually like the looks of it more than the Wind Restrictor.

I had not considered it earlier because I thought it was an actual "net" / mesh

Also, like the temporary nature of it.

We sell a TON of these...

http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...dblockers.html

Currently we are selling the Windrestictor about 10 to 1 over the Vettenet.

No rattles on either unit and they both work about the same as far
as blocking the wind.

In that case, just get the one you like the most

Regards
Chip

<---- See, I have the Windrestictor, Just used it for the first time yesterday!
@ 70 mph side-windows up no wind pounding you in the back of the head! I could feel a slight breeze on the back of my right arm (on the armrest). Not a problem, I was just paying very close attention because it was the first time using it. There was more wind damage driving 25mph in town from the crosswind with the side-windows down! I chose the Windrestictor because of the light effects. Very Cool So it come down to what you like. If you cruise at night(or Car Shows) I vote for the Light Show!

Thanks, everyone for the input.

I have decided to get the Mag Reg adjustable Vette Net to match my vert. I like the looks and there are times I don't want to have a wind blocker up, so this works out best...

Now to save a bit more cash for the upgraded head unit to replace the Delco
